Very early start. CB and DT arrive at SP's house at 5am for our 2.5 hour journey to Heathrow. Stop off for a quick McDonald's breakfast on the way. Quick pint in the airport before the 11 hour flight to San Francisco.

On arrival in San Francisco, DT is warned to be on his best behaviour to go through immigration, "Dave, just don't be yourself!". Undeterred, DT blunders through and by pure luck, finds the only immigration Official with a sense of humour. CB, on the other hand, gets the grilling of his life.

A further six hour flight to Honolulu. Meet up with a bored looking CF in the arrivals lounge of the airport. Wait 40 minutes for the hotel bus to take us the 500 yard journey to our hotel. Hotel bar closed - bugger. Go out for a takeaway Chinese and load up on bottles of beer.
