1st January 2006 - New Year's Day

Checked surf at Marijuana's - large and very windy. Met Bully (large Hawaiian). Went South, then eventually West due to "Dog's" Rod Sumpter's piss poor map. Checked Ko'Olina, an expensive looking resort with shallow beach breaks and turquoise water.

Drove further North on the West coast of the Island, found a perfect beach break called Tracks. Perfect 4' barrels looked really very easy. "We're gonna get tubed!".

We didn't get tubed, we got invaded as the god squad came back from church. We got dropped in on, run over, stressed, sun-burnt and bummed out. The only thing heavier than the barrels was the atmosphere in the car park. Don't know what they prayed for in church. The rest really is the wild wild west, all shanty towns and crack-heads. Mental breaks all along the coast. Shits and giggles all day.

Had lunch, CB got a case of the shits, ran to a public toilet, no paper, no door and no privacy from 6-year old girls walking in mid-squit. As there was no paper, CB forced to commence clean-up operation in the communal sink. Very embarrassing.

Makaha was breaking - looked amazing at 5' with double overhead sets, but super busy. Car rip-offs appear the norm. Big Hawaiians, big cars, big attitudes and even bigger queues at the McDonald's drive-in. For sale signs on all sorts of shit - not sure whether it was their cars or houses they were attempting to sell.

Came back, chilled out. Cooked Fajitas.
